Disposals are simple machines and honest ones: they hum, they jam, they leak, or they trip. Two of those you can often fix yourself in five minutes and we’ll tell you how on the phone. The other two are usually a same-visit repair or, if the unit is past 8–10 years, a replacement that costs less than most people expect. Either way you’ll know the price before we start, and we won’t sell you a new disposal when a reset button would have done it.
China Spring disposals are mostly builder-grade units that came with the house and are hitting the age where the bottom seal goes. If it’s leaking from the bottom, it’s a replacement; if it’s humming or dead, it’s probably a jam or the reset button, and we’ll tell you that on the phone.
