Moody is fifteen minutes south of the shop straight down Highway 317, and we’re out there every week — enough that people wave at the truck. It’s a small town with a lot of open ground around it: ranch properties, older homes near the school, and outbuildings, shops and barns that have their own window units, mini-splits and second refrigerators. Two things we see more in Moody than in town: condensers sitting in full sun with nothing around them, which cooks capacitors and fan motors faster than shaded units; and long, exposed duct and line-set runs on rural properties that take a beating from weather and critters. In winter, the first hard front tends to find every weak ignitor at once — our posts on AC repair in Moody and furnace repair in Moody are written from those calls.
